The Jungle Pool
Terms
Short, because this is a private pool among people who know each other, not a product with customers.
Who this is for
Members of the Jungle Pool, by invitation from the commissioner. The field is capped at fifty teams. You cannot sign up; an existing member has to invite your email address, and signing in with an address that was never invited is refused.
What the site does
It takes your weekly picks against the lines the commissioner sets, shows everyone’s card once the deadline has passed, and keeps the standings. The rules of the pool itself — deadlines, how ties count, what happens to a late card — are the Jungle’s own and live on the rules page inside the site. This page is about the software.
The commissioner decides the lines, the board and the deadlines. The site records those decisions; it does not make them.
Text messages
Optional. If you add a mobile number and tick the consent box on your profile page, you agree to receive automated text messages from the Jungle Pool about when picks open and when your card is missing near the deadline, and sign-in codes if you request them.
A few messages per week during the season. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Your number is never shared with anybody — see the privacy page.
Your account
One email address, one login, no password. Keep your email account secure, because whoever can read your email can sign in as you. Tell the commissioner if that ever stops being true.
Two people can share one team; each gets their own login onto the same card, and either can change the picks.
No guarantees
This is a hand-built site run by one member for his friends, with no support desk and no uptime promise. Scores and lines come from outside providers and can be wrong or late. If something looks wrong, tell the commissioner — the commissioner’s word settles the pool, not the screen.
Questions go to the commissioner. See also the privacy page.
